The slaves

We're all slaves
of our professions,
possessions; masters,
slaves alike
all accursed.

In bondage
of our habits, words,
of our fears, wars,
of what we see, hear,
taste, touch, and smell;
perpetually condemned
within the walls of
the manufactured hell,
our false universe.

The heaven above,
the garden beneath,
lying in vain, unable
to deliver, make us breathe.

Human beings is the one and only animal in the world who is not slave of his environment. That is why despite being an illiterate farmer's son,Issac Newton is the greatest physicist and Carl Fredric Guess is the greatest mathematician of all time though a poor farmer's son. Finally,Leonardo de Vinchi, such a genius artist was a Italian notary 'a illegitimate son.

    1. Very true. This is a different interpretation. The poem talks about how we are slaves of our circumstances where talents and geniuses are not the content. However, your perception is extremely important. Thank you.
