A soulful wish on World Soil Day

Let all human beings
Of the global village,
With their heart and soul,
Connect to protect
The soil of the earth,
Where every single moment,
The flora and the fauna
With their diversities
Happily take birth.

a fallen grace

My hands,
made of gold,
couldn't touch
the flower
that separated from the tree,
like a teardrop,

to grace the tired road;

to pick it up,
my poor hands,
engaged,
couldn't stoop so low.
the blossom was caressed
by the sun though
I wasn't able to
take my eyes off
this neglected piece;
a fallen grace,

a curious chef-d'oeuvre
built with utmost care
that Gustave would've taken
to build the Eiffel tower,
standing tall;

or Leonard could've
yearned for days,

to bring the smile
on la Joconde's face,

years ago.

twin birds

Micro and macro,

they are of the same feather,
twin birds
that crow in the same manner,
not mere words!
you heal the micro creature
lo it cures the one bigger,
you mess up with the petite voleur
have both of them under the weather

Peter becomes Sunil's friend.
David, like a poor cousin, feels threatened;
we find groups in sports and families
breaking up into sub-groups
to safeguard their local identities
all become unsafe with their disparate disunities

the mirror image reflects
in schools, colleges, offices,
in places of worship,
in political parties;
the pattern, replayed in towns, cities
in industries, in countries;
it spreads its wings in every community;
it is ageless, not a modern trend

we sense animosity even in friendship,

no thinking-out-of-the-box, no change
nothing new here, a universal challenge!
we have learned this strange relationship
for years, thanks to our esteemed education,
this is our culture, our civilization.

we believe in war, we mistrust peace;
little wonder that war is
seen applied beyond boundaries,
the flyers perch on every branch of the trees

everywhere, the same song they sing,
from huts to homes to the global village
our race, trapped for good in the invisible cage
harmony remains an outcast sage.

let us first bring a change

in the way we bond and behave
world will willingly unchain
from the meaningless bondage,
herculean burden.
micro and macro are crowing birds
cuckoos in their nest, the crew can nurse.

Ukiaha3!

War is an invention,
Discover peace.
...

Monotony is mechanical,
Nature knows none of it.
...

In the world
There is no refugee,
Or, all are.
...

We are more of being,
Less of human;
Human ages, like a calendar
Being doesn't, like nature.
...

Equality resides
In the priceless thought,
Not in lifeless words.
...

Talking about peace?
Working on its homonym,
Walk the talk. please.
...  the end ...

Buried leaves

I buried heaps of leaves
Under my cosy bed;
Years later, they turned
A uniform brown,
Those, which were once
Green, yellow and red.

To have a glance
I dug them out and reread;
Left out for long, they appeared
Indecipherable, blurred
Lost their outstanding stance.

Once upon a time
They were also words;
I felt them alive within, afresh.

Keep writing

Keep writing.
If praise gives you a high
Watch out when you fall;
For both are obstacles, big or small
In the jungle of opinions,
You become a sensitive prey, a puppet
Writing your treasured texts.

Keep on writing,
You have come here
With a purpose,
The words you write
Would unite
The wounded worlds.

Keep writing.
About the inevitable garlands
That encourage or demoralise,
You may let go or wear them at ease,
But make writing your fetish,
Your unconditional habit;
You may pause a while if you please,
But never ever would you quit,
Until you bring down the golden garden,
From the paper paradise
Onto this living, loving earth
Where, years ago, like other writers,
You also took your birth.

Same page

We may not speak the same language
But we can be on the same page.

Ukiaha2!

I kill the flies
I am alone in my room
Waiting for another world
...
I ring my doorbell
Just to check;
I see welcome
On the doormat
As I key in.
...
Sun shines on the sea
Captured in the golden frame
Lightens my tender eyes
...
Sand, a yellow bed
Waves thrashing on the seashore
Rewriting stories
...
Sunlight caressing
Green dancing leaves
Mom playing with her newborn
...
Dawn -
Dew drops silence
A day breaks
...
Order! Order!
Grammar hammers!
Helpful rules
At times rude
Simply overruled.
...
Nemo
No ego
A good omen
-the end-

Showstopper

Power, sprinkled
As magic powder,
Shows all over the place,
Its unkindness,
Without dignity, grace.

Ukiaha!

Peacock shuffles its feathers,
Eyes flash
Dance drama begins,
Leadership changes
The political climate.
...
Child smiles,
Mom looks at the sun.
...
Moon -
Singing lullaby
To the earth
...
Sun has left
For his better half,
Keeping the mistress
Moonstruck.
... the end ...

Nature

Let my lines
Be as real as your rainbow
As surreal as your horizon;
Let my thoughts
Be as pure as the morning dew
That drips on the meadows
Through the trees,
Let my actions be
As gentle as the breeze
That caresses the leaves.

The page is wide open for me
To pen my sailing journey
Let love be the ink of my passage
Let honesty of expression
In pleasure and pain
Be my constant company.

Let my words be
As easy as your water,
Let my stories be
As available as your air,
As tranquil as your lakes;
Let their meanings be
As deep as your oceans,
As hopeful as your
Twilight and dawn.

If I truly love your shining stars
Your forests, rivulets,
Your fruits and flowers,
Let me learn to bequeath like you
Wealth of my being
My healing words;
Let the world rage
Its cruelest of wars,
I will continue to emulate
Unconditional love like you
Overstepping,
Overseeing,
Overlooking,
Overtaking,
Overcoming
Superfluous barriers and borders.

Better late than never!

You may be an industrialist
Or an industrious CEO,
But if you do not know
Who you really are
Then my dear, you're
Going round and round
In a hollow material zero.

This you will realize
When it'd be time
To close your eyes.

If you want to be your heroine or hero
Before you are physically dead,
Try to know who you really are
A forever present, perpetually ignored star
Shining in the centre of the forehead,
Guiding you like the truest friend.

But when it'd be time

To breathe your last
Alas, cela serait trop tard!
You won't be in a position
To say dear sister and brother,
That it's better late than never.

Possibility, a thought away

I don't want to rise so high
That I get lost in the sky;
Everything, everyone
I look down upon,
Write their future
On a polarized piece of paper
And say, hey there
See here, you've all lost, I have won.

I don't want to lie so low and buried
That I get trampled, stampede;
Everything, everyone
Walks over me,
Writes my designed destiny
And say, hey there
See here, we have all won
You are just another loser.

I want to walk and fly steady in the middle
Involve all in the most engaging huddle;
Encourage naysayers, failures
So they fight and taste success,
Motivate high flyers, achievers
So they humbly help others in the race
Everyone wins, no one loses
We grow hand in hand, in medias res.

All for life

I never wanted to quit
Day dreaming.
Now that I have,
I am in the dark.

Moon-beams still
Melt through the window.
Heavy lights glow inside
The profiteering rooms.
The graveyard shift
Devours them all.

My dreamy eyes,
Once juicy with life,
Turn into stones;
All for life.

Black hat, new world

You look at good things,
Yes dudes, you dance and sing;
I find faults in children's bags
Sins nourish and flourish
in this and that.
Yes I'm negative, you darling brats
for I am the one with the same black hat.

Toy guns! All for fun, huh?
Innocuous, boisterous,
Far outnumber real revolvers.
But so what, you'd say,
It's not dangerous.

Tom and Jerry, hitting, hurting
fighting with each other
hurling abuses...
Our children are entertained,
rest assured, they're also getting trained
to face the bitter world,
sure enough, in time they'd find
their counterpart
waging wars, to break apart.

Nursery rhymes! Humpty Dumpty falls...
Ha ha ha, the class laughs!
Jack and Jill hurt themselves,
children learn their lessons
to giggle at others' troubles,
they memorise not just the words,
they take with them, their worried worlds.

For a new world to begin,
however good and effective,
we need to unlearn
some of our old learnings.

Balance

Balance without bias
Is the basis
Of being in bliss,
Beauty blooms
Body bounces
Like a football
Light as a balloon
Beholds the bounty
In bewilderment
Ball dances in the blue
Sings with the stars
Liberated, for ever.

After a while
It descends on the dais
As a Being
Carrying the body
In absolute harmony,
Experiences
Rhythmic symphony
In Medias Res
Bright, bold, benign.

In search of

When the stage
Is stabbed all over the place,
When the fields, that once fed
Millions, look robbed, broken
Into pieces, deserted;
Fatigued, famished families in famine, have fled...
In search of greener patches.

Intelligent people,
Busy, occupied, engaged;
Spending millions of dollars,
As though under the influence
Of some weeds,
In search of other planets.

Uninhabitable places,
Barren lands,
Sterile meadows,
Brown fields,
Weeping, wailing, wandering,
In search of wise attention.

Nameless

Refugees weeping.
Blind eyes
Unable to see
The storm,
Love levels in silence.
Sea waves rising.

...

Amazon drying
For fresh flesh and blood
Parasites stretch;
The world,
Running out of breath.

For how long

For how long

I talk of love, purity
I am a sissy
I talk of caprice, vice
Hatred, bombs, weapons
Am smart, taken seriously.

I worship Messiahs and Saints,
Chanting their words, I am all in tears,
While on the field, they're redundant, in vain
For there, I follow the stillborn Hitler.

I take occasional vacations
Go in the lap of nature.
While every part of it is a giver
I am a snatcher, taker
Or, to say the least, a beggar.

Mountains and rivers
Deserts, seas and oceans
Have treasures to offer.
By design, we distribute their fruition
To make the rich richer, the poor poorer,
If I turn around and say it's vulgar
I become the bad Peter.

Whatever I do, I compare, judge and compete
Who is more peaceful, more harmful
Between me and you,
How I can war, win and defeat!
Nature's acceptance is total and complete,
It doesn't recognise any warfare,
It shares, takes care and repeats.

Mistakes such as these
Abound in scores and dozens
Repeated in time and space
Paradise, by choice, has become a prison.
For how long, one doesn't
Know, this failing game will continue,
For how long, without logic, atonement and reason
We will have to beat the blues.

Words into action

I am a storehouse of words.
Yet I am so far from the lighthouse.
Meaningless churning of words
Freezing in the knowledge mart,
No walking the talk is what's making it worse,
The worried world, no wonder, is falling apart.

I don't hate the sin, I hate the sinner
Instead of loving, I fight with my neighbour
Yet I know the scripture by heart
And the sacred eight-fold path;
I have full knowledge of Trinity
I never miss prayers to the supreme.
What I haven't learnt is to put the divine words into action,
Hence I keep my heaven unsafe,
Leaving it perpetually in the dark.

If my words do not inspire,
If they fail to empower,
If they hurt, hate, not heal
If they kill with skill,
Then what is the use
Of melodious prayers
Arranged with lifeless letters,
Engaged in the failing battle of win-lose?

When wise words are put into action,
Our Intolerance would fly off like the dove,
The golden garden will bloom into fruition,
Where the winsome paradise will fall in love.

Oh times

Who is the liar
Who says time
Waits for none?
For it doesn't leave,
It stays with me
All the time.

Winner

I was set to sail,
On a paper boat.
Others had battleships,
I wasn't focused to win,
Just barged in
Without contemplating
The winds.

When the waters
Touched my tool,
I couldn't keep afloat
Appeared like a fool
Went round and round
Until I had to drown.

Deep inside
I settled for a while;
The spirit in me
Swam like a submarine.
Although out of sight
I reached the other side.

I saw everyone there
Fatigued, lost, sad
Standing hand in hand.
There was one loner
Standing like a loser,
He was also glad
As a single solo winner.

Stars

You must be a winner?
To be in the good books
Of self-help?
What about the authors
Who're writing their stories
On life's page?
Surviving with resilience
Despite odds, hard work?
Slogging for their families
Yet not making it right?
Would you never let them write?

They’re caged in credit cards, EMIs
Shelved forever as losers?
They fall every moment, never succumb
Only winners would you welcome?
You neglect them in silence
Though in the defeat, lies their success.

They're the warriors
Who battle in the game
Their names are quite defamed;
These readers need to be written
Aren't daily losers the real winners!

The majority who lose
Yet participate on the stage
Kudos to you my friends!
You are the dudes from whom
People should learn to strive,
You need to be heard and read
How you fall and rise
Every day and night
Like the stars in the sky!

Belief system

Our belief systems,
The real mayhem.
Like a child, we are
Far too blind,
Cannot breathe
Without them.

We need to change
The pattern of thoughts,
Chaining us for years
In our compelling cage.

It is difficult to
Convince a teenager
That being thirty
Isn't quite old,
By running after oil
We're running into holes
Energies are drained,
Real issues, put on hold.

It is impossible to explain
Those dumb delinquents
That nuclear weapons
Flaunting toys of
Boisterous boys
Do not make anyone bold.

Proverbs and words
Fail to achieve their goals,
Juvenile fads
Mesmerized with
All that glitters
As charmingly gold.

And all that litters
In the oceans and the seas
Thanks to the immature
Business wannabes
Is creating ruckus
In the world manifold.

Between hell and heaven
Lies the belief system;
Change the way
We'd played the game,
We'll not get suffocated
In the claustrophobic air
Wars will wither, peace will reign.

Pure bliss

Practise and come to a state
From where you cannot not
Love and bless,
Even those who come and
Openly slap on your face.

This is not weakness, this
Is inner power, infinite bliss.

Target

Target

Target is like a tiger
On which we ride
Getting off it
Kills our pride.

Information

Information

Information is king?
It is nothing!
Speak the truth,
The missing tooth.

Hello dear CEO

Hello dear CEO
Of such a
Renowned company!
I am this blind fan,
Who've now become
Your employee.
I'd love to remain
Your admirer;
Fingers crossed,
Let me see.

Calling

Calling

I am a BIG loser.
Maybe! So what?
Despite waves of failures,
In dozens and in scores,
I haven't drowned,
I am still afloat.

I am an indomitable survivor,
My HUGE success is that
I give a hand to those
Who desperately need me,
Maybe this was my calling
Which, for long
I wasn't able to see.

In the dark

Heaven, a special guest,
Comes stilly each night,
To visit hell.
Hell welcomes,
Willingly hosts
In the dark.

When the day breaks
The blue gets washed,
The gray disappears
They kiss each other
Good bye...
Heaven, fresh as it were,
Takes off, drawing
Its day's strength
To look down upon
The entertainer.

In between, on the earth,
An owl is watched
By an eagle,
A squirrel is playing
Somersault,
While underneath a tree
A motivational guru
Talks on the possibility
Of holistic transformation;
How it is possible to change
Inside out, upside down.
The eager students are chanting
Hymns, in praise of the sun
And the blue sky.

Hell, with its ghosts,
Remains in the dark,
Buried in hell.

High time

High time

Tonsured lands of Amazon!
Lungs of the world, severed?
What a pity! Disappearing trees
Write burning stories of boiling destiny.

Leaders! Qualified scholars,
Where will you capture the evergreen words?
Leaves, very soon, will leave the world.

Do you still have time to slaughter?
So much on the high?
Your sheepish laughter,
Cattle rearing greed will wither
In the pyre of the heat and the fire
You’ll swoon to death,
Lose your wealthy, gifted breath.

Aren’t you cutting down the branches you’re sitting on?
You morons! Alas! Alas! Alas!
Reminds us of the ignorant Kalidas*!

He then resurrected as a true erudite,
started writing enchanting poetry
it’s high time we bring the amazing Amazon back to life
by planting millions of lifesaving trees.

Note:
Kālidāsa was a Classical Sanskrit writer, widely regarded as the greatest poet and dramatist in the Sanskrit language of India. His plays and poetry are primarily based on the Vedas, the Ramayana, the Mahabharata and the Puranas. Much about his life is unknown, only what can be inferred from his poetry and plays. (Wikipedia)
The legend says that he was a nincompoop, fell off from a tree because he was cutting the branch on which he was sitting. He got a boon from the Goddess of learning, Saraswati to become a legendary writer.

Long live France

Today is the fourteenth of July
France! I wish you
A great day, I give you a high five!

Freedom, equality, fraternity
We all love this call so sincerely
It was you who introduced to us
The most precious democracy!

Long live France, long live France
Sings my heart, as I dance with glory
Thanks to you human dignity
Was given a chance.

Today is the fourteenth of July
I wish peace to prevail
In the whole world.
Let the hands of friendship stretch
Across boundaries
Let the voice of camaraderie be heard.

Vive la France

Aujourd'hui, c'est le quatorze juillet
La France! Je te souhaite
La belle journée.

La liberté, l'égalité, la fraternité
On aime tous cet appel à la folie
C'est toi qui nous a présenté
La plus précieuse démocratie!

Vive la France, vive la France
Chante mon cœur, danse mon corps
Grâce à toi la dignité humaine
Avait de la chance.

Aujourd'hui, c'est le quatorze juillet
Je souhaite la Paix
Dans le monde entier.

Bring back

I wonder if I belonged
To any continent,
To any bordered territory!
The answer is no
Thank goodness though
For I belong to the world.
Unlike you, you, and you
I have a bird's eye view.

If atonement is not
Your cup of tea,
Then given the chance
You'll rewrite the same story,
The crimes will repeat,
You will bring back your defeat
All at once
You'll pollute the air,
Poison the seas.

My words with its wings,
Will break down the walls,
True or false;
Will bring back the long lost
Golden garden
Right here, in a trance
Where flowers will bloom,
Paradise will fall.

My feathers off the cage,
Light and free
I neither belong
To your continent,
Nor to your country.
Reborn in your backyard
I am this Bard
That belongs to the world.

Disclaimer : in English, 'You' is also an indefinite pronoun.

Men and women of words

Men and women of words

Eyes!
Instantly identify
A tiny black spot
From an impeccably
Clean, white shirt.

Ears!
Listen to class.
Miss the speech.

Hands!
Tired to clap.
Unwilling to hold.
Indomitable fists
Relentless, hurt, hit
Seldom fold, and fetch.

Arms!
Linked with weapons,
Unwilling to stretch.

Feet!
Eager to kick.
At other times, fleet.

Brain!
Left or right
Unfortunate guide.

Tongue!
Less said the better!

With all of these
Junk products in our factory
We run companies
In liquidated glory.

We set out to talk about peace,
We march, sometimes with candles
Sometimes with trees,
We are ashamed in books,
Not on the field.

Despite angry peace NGOs,
Well-meaning CEOs,
We do nothing to throw
The weapons from our minds
So our organs could function
In their original version.

Our junk actions come out
In disguised words,
Get willingly lost
In verbosity, in plastic sagacity,
Simplicity is discarded
As impotent
Meek, inept, redundant.

Of peace and other jargons,
We talk, we talk;
Left; left; left, right, left,
We talk, we talk, we talk,
We talk,...

Yesterday

Yesterday I learned a word
I almost forgot
And that was
Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck!
Believe me I never felt so young
So charged, so animated.
I'm sure this cold storage of a place
Got back its hold, its togetherness.

Come, my dear friend
I seek your forgiveness
I was wrong, I am sorry
No worries please.
Enlighten the space
Write your charming stories
If we cannot work together
Let's leave each other at peace.

Foreign monster

Others can never define you.
No matter how hard
They use their gray matter
They will succumb
Neither arrive, nor come.

If you want peace
You will find it,
Deep within.
Vaille que vaille...
You will be able
To kill your foreign monster.

Relax

Relax

Don't take your
Time and space
Too seriously
Bad times...
A hiccup.
Walk past
Why'd you talk
And think about them
Why'd you
Create a storm
In the cup.

Empty words

Empty words

How's it a global village,
Where a country's failure
Is another's success,
Not the whole world's shame?

Words, only words
For better or for worse,
Playing the blind blame game.

Ganges is connected to Amazon
Like lungs is to kidney
Dubai is linked to London
Like Surat is to Sidney.

Palestine is connected to Hong Kong
Like heart is to brain
Zimbabwe is linked to Wellington
Like forests to gardens.

The world, much like all sentient beings
Has cells, tissues, enzymes, bones, arteries and veins
You may call them villages and cities
You may regard them as rivers, oceans, seas and mountains.

When you are dumping garbage
Onto the weaker periphery
Remember this please,
That you maybe healing your elbows
But you're hurting your knees.

In between your part
Of the world and mine
Stand lonely borders; selfish, alert,
Only empty words shine.

Empty words cannot lure
As boosters of the Game
When a country's failure
Is taken, as the whole world's shame.

Whatever has been our past
Walls will fall, wars can never last.
However scarlet
The stage might have been
Peace will gain its ground
It's bound to rise and win.

One long stretch

Somewhere in between
Dalal and Wall streets
Lies one long stretch
Where there's zero wealth
Where people starve to death.

Double role

An urchin, with dreamy eyes
Is learning to limp.
He's also rehearsing as a blind
Child. Double role! Shh!
He's behind a spacious debris,
Exposed under broad daylight.
Yet safe, hidden, unfrequented --
An overlooked green room.

He has to perform
On the real, certain,
Unsuspecting stage
Where curtains don't rise,
Nor do they fall.

Luckily, he has got the richest
Road as his zone.
Here, Impalas, Mercs, BMWs galore.
Of course, he had to pay
Ramu chacha*
A handsome amount
For occupying the space,
But that's okay!
It's an unwritten rule.

Rich, happy, kind families
Of leaders, diplomats, VIPs,
Healthy, wealthy and wise
Have to be fooled
With his disguise,
So they shower on him
Noisy coins,
Mouthwatering goodies.

As the only young male,
He has to feed a family.
Two ailing parents.
Three mongrels.
Four sisters,
Blind, crippled
violated, pregnant.
All tough cookies,
Stony eyes.

Anger

Avoid using anger to claim
Your world, no matter what.
Choose your words,
Use them diligently,
Like a driver on a freeway.
Remember.
Anger is a grass that
Doesn't serve any purpose.

Beyond you

You can snatch my land,
My property, severe
Everything as far as I can see,
But you cannot separate
Me from my memories.

You can go away
For good, asunder
All that belonged to us
But the stories
We wrote together.

Camaraderie

You can snatch my land,
My property, severe
Everything I can touch and see
But you cannot separate
The sky from me
Such is our camaraderie.

Sky is the limit

Blue witness
Hanging from above
Sees every action
Doesn't praise, condemn
Always present,
As the silent friend.

Shelters the stars
And the clouds,
Drops water and light
On the blue planet
Every moment, anew
Without judgement.

O firmament!
I want to be like you.

Charming fellow

Charming fellow

You are perpetually in disguise
I am in splits at your wit and humour
But I sense a hatred, hidden inside
To the point I cannot believe my eyes,
What do you want beloved actor?
Are you a Chaplin, or a Hitler?

Come out of your shell,
You beautiful soul.
Liberate yourself from this helpless hell
Say hello to your outstanding role.

Kill all your judgements with practice and skill,
You'll certainly feel the presence of love
That's when you'll really heal.
Kindness will shower from above.

Everyone around you will instantly know
You are a genuine friend, not a faking foe.

Use your sense first, before you follow
An actor, a destroyer, or just a simple guy,
Whatever you do, never hurt, nor lie.
Instead of harming, be a charming fellow.

Outstanding civilisation

Outstanding civilisation 👏👏👏

We are stern.
We are Western.
We teach the world
How to talk, walk
Sit, shit, sing, dance
Play, pray, prey, fuck, suck.

We are born to govern.
Of our skin, we are 'con'scious
We are always scornful of others.

We are the originators
Of world wars.
Gifted disasters beyond pardon
But carried the white man's burden.
We're superiors.
We're superiors.
They're inferiors.
They're inferiors.
They're blacks.
They're brown.
Bloody niggers.

We have civilized the world
With our language and beverage.
Our dictionary is full of kind words.
We are proudly cruel, clannish, racist, renowned for our elegant rage.
We were thieves in the past.
Now we're one of the richest countries
In the global village.

We have looted, ransacked the world
With all kinds of arms and weapons
Under the winsome firmament.
But now, we are the prominent
Forerunners of peace and disarmament.

We are stern.
We are western.
We teach the world
Of most anything
Under the sun.
But we're not here to learn.
This is our curious civilisation.

I want to be

The title is not incomplete
Just in case
You're looking for any suspense.

For the aim inside me
Just wants to be...

The soul wants to bloom
With all its seven properties;
Happiness, power, peace
Love, purity, knowledge, bliss.

With all of these
Priceless qualities
I'm rich, wealthy, wise
I have the stars in my eyes.

I want to be Buddha
Not a Buddhist,
Jesus, not a Christian
Mohammed, not a Muslim
Krishna, not a Hindu.

The world has imprisoned
The guys
In places of worship
With garlands, incense sticks,
Worse still, they're in words
They're bound within scriptures.

They come to me in disguise
In the dead of a night
Whisper all these in my ears...
That they're conditioned in chains
For many many years
With tears in their eyes
Kisses on their lips
They're recounting me these
As bedtime stories,
That they want to be free.

All of this though
I can never share you know.
I wouldn't even dare
To hurt people's sentiment
They'll think of me as irreverent,
As insane, or irrelevant?
But what do I care
I have Him by my side
I'm not afraid anymore
To breathe in their air.

With folded hands,
Genuflecting knees
I would never expect you
To marry me.

But I'd lay bare what they say
In every minute of the day,
Be like us, not follow us
We never killed, nor hated others.
Preaching is more important
Than the Preacher
How could you disrespect the teachings
And claim to love the Teacher?

Live up to the words
Otherwise lifeless,
Act upon them.
You can be who you are
And enjoy being in the game.
