Desire

Desire, the dangerous demon, drives the soul.
Drowning in dreams demands control.
When defiant dotings dwell, dreaded greed,
Despair in the rage dangers indeed exceed.

But a different desire, divine and pure,
Draws us to a depth, so definitely sure.
Desire to know the divine Self in delight,
Dissolves all darkness, dispels the night.

Desire, the devil, deceives and divides,
But devotion to God, true peace provides.
Dare to desire, but dwell in the divine,
Where the soul will dazzle, desires dime.
