Being

Lazy lake. Indolent ease.
Chirping birds. Busy breeze.
Serene sky. Grasses lie.
Soothing sound. Low or high.

Moving Moon. Stable Sun.
Begin and end. Work is done.
Beings all. Fall and rise.
Easy eyes. No surprise.

  1. HOW TO READ THE POEM - some suggestions. This poem has to be read very slowly, with pause. Otherwise it could annoy the reader. This is caused by the fact that although the poem claims absolute quiet, our mind is not at peace and it may not be at the time of reading. So it is the contradiction that could create a turmoil in the mind of the reader. The sentences used in the poem are called 'phrases de base' or basic sentences. This style is used for two reasons; 1) to talk about our basic purpose, which is to be at peace and 2) to depict that it is simple and is readily available to us.
