তাই দিয়ে বর্তমানের
হদিশ পাওয়া
একেবারে অসম্ভব
এখনের রীতিনীতি
নিঃশব্দের অনুভূতি
তরতাজা নিয়ম
কখনও কি পারবে ধরতে
অর্ধমৃত অক্ষম কলম
লেখনীর জোরে যত
ব্যাক্ত অভিজ্ঞতা
ফেলে আসা শতশত
অতীতের ঝরঝরে অক্ষর
সবই যেন সীমাবদ্ধ
কমা দাড়ির লাইন
নেই তাতে নতুনত্ব
নেই কোনও উর্বর আইন
তাই তো থামে না যুদ্ধ
ঘৃণা বিদ্বেষ কাড়াকাড়ি
একই কথার কড়াকড়ি
অতীতের কারাগারে আবদ্ধ

while you speak
you borrow from the
bygone experience
to feel the presence
of the present
be in silence
I close my eyes
I sense my surroundings
let me go
I am in the body
I feel the legs, the ankles,
I gently ask the knees to relax
I instruct the thighs to pause
the groins, the lower abdomen,
they heave a sigh of relief
I beseech the belly, the chest
to rest
the tired shoulders I implore them
not to move
the neck abides
the eyes, the pupils, the eyebrows,
the forehead, the head
I breathe throughout the body
it is seated on the bed
the bed in the room, the room
in the apartment, a part of E-17
E-17, I vividly feel is a part of
the neighborhood, Behala,
a portion of south Kolkata,
the city is a part of West Bengal,
the state a part of India,
the country, a part of Asia
isn’t Asia part of the world
I ask, yes the I in me quickly
replies
this world I now know is a part
of the universe
from the universe, I travel through
the stars, the galaxies, the milky ways
I find myself, I lose myself
what an ataraxy I experience
all belong to me, all are mine
no bar, no offense, no fence
with my eyes closed, I travel back
my universe, my world, my country,
I come back to my E-17, the space I call
my home
I feel connected in this peace
there’s peace, there’s peace
everywhere I touch is my home
I call all of it my home
that’s it and this is it
in this journey
there isn’t an iota of conflict
I open my eyes
what did I lose
what did I gain
I don’t know but
I promise I’ll close my
eyes, come and go
again and again
we applied our
resources
with power and
force
yet couldn't find
the source
a mystery
cocky knowledge
starts in
the intelligent classroom
wisdom begins in
the
whispering womb
a mystery
sense organs
cannot function
when they are
in operation
a mystery
we fight,
we war
with full dedication,
honesty and integrity
in love and camaraderie
we lack the passion
a mystery
কাঁটাতার বেড়াজাল
বন্দুকধারী কঠোর
সজাগ মানুষ
দিনরাত পাহাড়ায়
দেশের জন্য মরতে
প্রস্তুত, বাঁচতে নয়।
অদ্ভুত পাগল দুনিয়া!
শুধু মারামারি কাটাকাটি
খেলে, খোলা আকাশের নীচে
উর্বর পৃথিবীর বুকে।
এই ভয়ানক অবিশ্বাসের
মধ্যে কি অবাধ্যের মত
কতগুলো লাল নীল হলুদ
সবুজ ফুল ফুটে আছে
দেখ!
ওরা হাসছে আর হেলেদুলে
বলছে,
'শাপ-লুডো খেলবি তো আয়'।
ভালবাসবেই যদি
পৃথিবীর মতন বেসো।
বোমা বারুদের বর্ষণে
ক্ষতবিক্ষত মাটি থেকে
উঁকি মারে দেখ
জীবনের চারা
প্রতারনা অবিশ্বাস নিষ্ঠুরতা
ঘৃণা যন্ত্রনা অপমান লাঞ্ছনার
গরল দিয়ে তাকে ভরিয়ে দিলেও
পরিবর্তে সে স্বার্থহীন হয়ে
ভালোই বাসবে, আনন্দে ভরিয়ে
রাখবে তোমায় পাখির মধুর গানে
হালকা বাতাসের আমেজে
সমুদ্র মহাসাগরের প্রাচুর্যে
অগাধ আকাশের সূর্য চন্দ্র
তারায় ভরা আলোর সাজে
ভালবাসবেই যদি তবে
পৃথিবীর মতন করে বেসো।
