Ode to darkness

Ode to darkness

Oh light! It’s the endemic light again!
Differences of all kinds surface…
A 4.667 is so visibly different from a 4.338 and a 4.886,
A brown not like the black not like the white;
We the alphanumeric peoples, who dress and eat alike unlike,
Exposed to the Sunlight,
With our brains and bloods,
Are delighted to shout!
We so vividly mismatch with us,
Inequality hisses in the veins to spread it over and over again:
A mountain, a hill, a hillock, a cow, a pig, a bullock,
A shrub, can never be a tree,
So many of us have so much to show and see.

O darkness! Cover the world with clarity.
With you, a meadow and the sea,
A fly, a bird, a bee, cities, towns, countries,
All there like the look alike:
The soft peoples, making love now,
Fatigued with enlightenment were so hard in your absence!
When you are there dear no one can fight,
O scientist! Invent a switch,
To blacken, the day,
So I can switch darkness on;
When we fight till night from the dawn,
When differences cannot stay…
When words written here too wither away!
